ChatGPT answers your questions and writes for you. TalkGraph maps what you say as you say it, asks you questions back, and keeps every map in one Brain you can ask. Different jobs, and plenty of people use both.
Answering almost any question, writing and editing, searching the web, analysing files and holding a spoken conversation.
Thinking out loud, meetings and studying: a live map of your own words, questions that push your thinking, and a Brain of everything you've said.
ChatGPT is the best-known general AI assistant. It answers questions from its training and the web, writes and edits, analyses files, makes images, and holds spoken conversations in voice mode on web, iPhone, Android and desktop. It can remember details across chats, its Study mode asks you questions instead of giving answers, and on paid plans its macOS app can record and summarise meetings. TalkGraph does one narrower thing: as you talk, it turns your words into a live visual map of typed cards (ideas, facts, decisions, actions, questions, risks), and every map joins one Brain you can explore and ask. It doesn't answer general questions from the web; when it drafts something (a business plan, a pitch outline or an outreach email), it works only from your own maps, so the thinking stays yours.

Not a replacement. ChatGPT is a general assistant; TalkGraph is built for capturing and structuring your own thinking. It's an alternative when what you want from AI is to think something through out loud, keep a map of it, and ask about it later.
ChatGPT can produce a diagram when you ask for one, but it doesn't build a live map while you talk. TalkGraph does: each point you make lands as a typed card on the map as you speak.
Yes, in Study mode, which is available on every ChatGPT plan and quizzes you on a topic. TalkGraph asks one short question when you pause, drawn from what you've just said, so it pushes on your own thinking in the moment.
Yes. Export a map as Markdown and paste it into ChatGPT for writing help, or keep ChatGPT for research and TalkGraph for your own thinking, meetings and notes.
Try it with no signup - talk for a minute and watch it structure itself.
