TalkGraph is a free AI you talk to out loud. General chatbots like ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity are built to answer your questions; TalkGraph turns what you say into a live map of ideas, decisions and questions, and keeps every map in one Brain you can ask later. It also asks you questions back, so you think the problem through instead of handing it over.
Most AI chat works the same way: you type a question, it writes an answer. That's useful for facts. It's less useful when the thing you need is your own plan, your own decision or what your team agreed last week, because none of that is on the web.
TalkGraph flips the direction. You talk, about a project, a lecture, a meeting or a problem you're stuck on, and it structures what you say into typed cards: ideas, facts, decisions, actions, questions and risks, connected as a map that builds while you speak.
When you pause, TalkGraph can ask you one short question drawn from what you've just said, the kind a good thinking partner would ask. It shows up as a small pop-up ("A question from your Brain"), never as an answer written for you. Answer it out loud and the map grows.
This is on purpose. Research on AI and learning finds that AI which hands over answers can weaken how much people learn, while AI that makes you produce and explain does not. There's more on that in our guide to AI and your brain.
Every map feeds your Brain, one connected map of everything you've talked through. Search it, or type a question and press Enter: "what did I decide about pricing?", "what are my open questions on the launch?". Answers come from your own maps and point to the cards they came from.
Asking your Brain is free on every plan. Only creating new cards counts towards your monthly allowance.
If you've wanted an AI assistant you can just talk to, one that keeps track of what you tell it, this is the part TalkGraph does well: you speak, it organises, and weeks later you can ask about it.
It is not a general assistant. It won't browse the web, set reminders or answer trivia. For those, a general chatbot is the right tool. TalkGraph is for the things only you know.
Yes. You can try TalkGraph with no account, and the free plan gives you 250 nodes a month with no credit card. Asking your Brain questions about what you've mapped is free on every plan.
Both are AI you can talk to, but they do different jobs. ChatGPT answers questions from its training and the web. TalkGraph turns what you say into a visual map, asks you questions back, and answers questions about your own conversations. Many people use both.
Yes. Talking is the main way to use it. It transcribes live in more than 50 languages and builds the map as you speak. You can also type or edit cards directly.
No. TalkGraph answers from your own maps, not the web. For general questions, a chatbot like ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity is the right tool.
Yes. Every map is saved to your account and feeds your Brain, so you can search it and ask about it later. Maps are private by default, and you can export or delete them at any time.
